Mutley
Mutley (Mega Mutt), April 1997 -
September 2007.
Our sadness is tinged with so many happy memories. Meeting you at
the show with our other boy Mo (Morris Quest) where you took my hand
in your mouth to get more attention. Your initial arrival and
'mistaking' our bed for yours, your excitement of going out for
walks resulting in that tail of yours redecorating our walls. Your
discovery of supermarket bags having sausages deep inside them. When
you returned to Hersham for a brief visit you nearly pulled and
knocked us all over as you bounded down the corridor and flew into
the back of the car. We moved to Ireland and you returned home, your
initial introduction to our neighbours dogs was not the best start
but you soon had many fans from our visitors to the garden centre.
You loved your new found space and once it had been escaped proof
you did your regular mutley patrols at night guarding the ducks
which you eventually were able to stop chasing. You loved to join us
on the bed and sofa generally taking over, with the occasional treat
of your favourite prawn crackers. You had freedom, enjoyed life and
brought us all much joy. You will always be remembered and loved by
us all. I know that the tears will stop and the smiles will return
but right now the house feels so empty without you.
